Half of day 4, which was a Saturday, was spent stuck in traffic traveling from Ellicott City, Maryland to Yorktown, Virginia. It was nuts! But so worth it when we got there.
After 10 years of knowing Deirdre online and sending packages and Christmas cards to one another we finally got to meet in person!
She and her daughter gave us a tour of Yorktown where we saw the redoubts built by General Washington and the American army.
We also made a quick stop at Jamestown to see the fort replica.
