For today’s Thursday Thirteen I’ve decided to show thirteen reasons why I love living way out in the boondocks. These are photos I’ve taken over the past year. So in no particular order…
2. The smell of the rain mingled with sagebrush.
3. Old windmills and miner’s houses.
4. Pivots – no more flood irrigating!
6. Room for the kids to play.
7. Being able to teach the kids to shoot guns. This is Semisweet, my future Annie Oakley.
8. Cattle
9. Flowers – wild and not so wild
10. The bookmobile comes straight to our house every other Monday.
12. Drying clothes out on the line
13. Twirling around like a little girl knowing no one else can see me!

This was a beautiful blog spot! You are a great photographer as well as writer. Have you had classes in photography? What kind of camera do you have? Also, do you use alias’s for your names for safety reasons? Should I worry about that on my blog?
Take care and keep bloggin’!

Stop already! I have serious jealousy issues. I keep telling myself, “Though shalt not covet, thou shalt not covet.” Yeah, I’m coveting.

WoW!!!! Just wow. Personally, I think it’s good to teach a child how to shoot and RESPECT the weapon. Learn early, and use it carefully. You made points with me there.
And the owl photo?!!!! Absolutely breathtaking.
My T T is posted. Won’t you stop by for a visit?

I am a fellow chocolate lover. You should read about my birthday (Oct. 4) Ninety percent of my gifts were chocolate! This is a really beautiful blog, some of my favorite pics I’ve ever seen on a blog. Your place is almost old-world other-wordly!

It think it is very hard to appreciate just how wonderful living in rural Nevada is, without actually living there. There is nothing else quite like it! We sure miss it!

Beautiful shots, I especially love your clothesline of tie-dyed shirts. I’m not sure if this city girl can hack it in your country, I already think my suburban town is the boonies! Thanks for sharing and visiting.
