Believe it or not, on occasion I do like to drink something other than my daily cup of hot cocoa. This orange punch is one recipe I love to make. It is actually good hot or cold. I usually make one recipe and keep it in a pitcher in the fridge then heat some up on those chilly fall or winter afternoons.
Hot Orange Punch
2 cups of sugar
3 quarts of water (12 cups)
1 large can frozen orange juice
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 tsp. almond extract
Mix all ingredients together in a large saucepan. Heat until hot. Serve hot or cold.
The following is a fun, easy, almost glue free project for the kiddos to make. The one pictured was made by my five year old.
Fold a pipe cleaner into thirds. Cut one loop so there are three open ends. Twist the tops together. Thread orange, red, yellow, and green tri-beads onto each strand. When full fold the bottom of the pipe cleaner so the beads don’t fall off. Tie a raffia bow around the top. Hot glue a magnet onto the back.

I hadn’t seen that craft before–I can see my daughters decorating their rooms with that. I’m book marking this.

This drink was just what the doctor ordered this morning. My throat thanks you.
