The original flannel board story can be found here.

Hi Cocoa – I LOVE your blog! Where do you find the time????? I think you must forgo sleep to do all that you do! I have 8 children and we homeschool too. I love these flannel board stories and would like to print some off – just a query about the ‘flannel board’ – what is it and is it something i can construct here at home?

Nicki,
The easiest way to explain what a flannel board is is to look at a picture.

I’ve been toying with the idea of doing this myself. Glad I didn’t! Thanks. Also, I use a white board and put magnets on the back of my figures.

Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful pages and in full color. I cut them out laminated them and placed a piece of magnet tape in the back so i can used them with my magnet board which you can buy at home depot or lowe’s for 10.00 for a 24×36. I just thought to share this idea.. i am more for magnets than flannel – lol.
