They also hold down blankets and material for creating the perfect “Princess Boudoir”. Yes, they really call it that. They got the term from watching Friendly Persuasion, so Fancy Nancy of them.
(hint for Grandma: They now have Fancy Nancy Dolls and outfits at Target!)

I remember doing the same thing as a child. Books were always good weights to hold down corners. Looks like a lot of fun!
My kids have been making forts lately too. There must be something in the air telling kids is “hide away” or “boudoir” building time.

My son has been into making “tents” lately. Probably because we have been camping a couple times. I love the Fancy Nancy books, at least the couple I have read. They are so cute.

Oh! I love that! I used to love making tents with sheets and tables and chairs as a kid. I’m afraid I’ve not let my own kiddos do it too much, not sure why. Maybe it’s time.
I wasn’t as creative in naming my tent either! How funny!
Happy WW!

I love it! I love it! I love it! My sisters and I used to make the same sort of hideouts using the dining room table.

Boy that takes me back into the distant past. Looks like they were having great fun.

Our books help make “caves” and also build excellent roadways for toy cars. And, if you lay a book down, horizontally, and lift the cover, it becomes a pretend laptop computer. Ah, the magic of books. =)
