I collect bees and beehives. Have I mentioned that before? I can’t remember. It started when Bon Bon was 4 and Semisweet was 3. We were learning about bees for school, in particular how all the worker bees were female. They decided since they work hard too that our school would be called Beehive Academy. So far so good except when Special Dark starts school I don’t know what we will do.
Anyway, I love to collect bees and beehives. I have a red shelf that Mr. Ferrero Rocher made for me with pegs under it to hang cute little things from. All my beehive do-dads are on it and a wall-hanging I made is displayed above it. This sign is one that hangs on the pegs. Just the other day as I walked by I realized it had hearts on it. Perfect for Love Thursday.

I’m always drawn to anything with bees, because my father’s name is Buzz (not his real name, obviously, but that’s what he’s been called most of his life!). Love your story!

Oh goodness…at first glance, I thought you collected actual bees and beehives! Knick-knacks and doo-dads are definitely much less threatening than the stinging insect itself! 🙂

Oh, that sign would be so cute for my home… or my blog. 😉

This reminds me of my 7th grade science teacher. Only because of the bees. She used to wear pins of bees on her shoulder everyday. Like 7! There was a rumor that each one represented each of her husbands, but who knows if that was true. LOL!
Happy Love Thursday.

SO fun! My decor for my entryway in August is all about bees. So glad you shared this little tidbit about yourself…I’m tucking that info away.:-)

I love this!

That’s so cute. My father collects actual live bees and beehives so something like that would be a great gift for him and my mom. I’ll have to file it in my mental “ideas for future gifts” file.
