Isn’t this little cake cute?
Friday night we made twelve of them in preparation for Truffle’s birthday party on Saturday. She was having a doll tea party so naturally each doll had to have it’s own cake too.
For each tiny cake you need two sandwich cookies (we used Oreos), frosting and sprinkles.
Put a little frosting between both cookies to hold them together. Spread frosting around the edges of the “cake” first.
Put a dallop of frosting on a small plate. Ours are from a tea set. Then carefully place the cake in the center of the plate. Frost the top.
Add sprinkles in whatever design you want. We made ours to match Truffle’s birthday cake. Finish the cakes off with decorative piping around the top and bottom.
One little girl took a nibble out of hers and showed everyone how it looked just like a real layer cake!
These were so much fun and added just the right touch to the doll tea party.
What adorable mini cakes. I love it!
You are brilliant! What a great, talented, and patient mom you are.
That must have been a fun party! Happy Birthday to your girl.
These are so cute! I bet the girls loved them. Do you want to be my party planner next time someone has a birthday around here? 😉
Too cute! I will have to file this under “Great ideas for Oreos”!
What an adorable, simple idea!
You guys do the coolest stuff with tiny food. I’m thinking of using this as an activity for all the kids we will have over here for Thanksgiving.
VERY fun idea. Love how it looks like a layer cake when you bite into it!

I am saving this for a rainy day, perfect activity!
New to your blog and loving your clever idea. How gracious of you to share. Many thanks.
Those are so cute it makes me want to throw a doll tea party with Princess tonight.
You are one very creative lady!
they are so cute.. it is like a cake we make here where you layer cookies with cream and jam (jelly) in a long line.. like a snake and then cover in cream.. the next day the cookie is all soft and it tastes exactly like cake!! No baking.. easy!! and it is stripey
Keep these pictures. They will be evidence when your girls are teens that you actually do love them. They won’t believe it until you show them actual proof. What a great mom.
Those little oreo cakes are sooo cute! How clever.

This is one of the cutest things that i have ever seen. SO easy and SO cute. I sent this link to just about everyone that I know. The little polka dot dishes are the exact dishes that I bought my grand daughter for Christmas. Thanks SO much for sharing this great idea!
I love this idea. My daughter would love to make these. I’ve shared this post with my blog readers.
These are absolutely adorable. So sweet. What little girl wouldn’t love these for a party. They would make nice place setting treats for a ladies luncheon or dinner to or for young women as well. How fun.
