I had a hard time deciding between several photos for this week’s category of joy. I finally chose this one of a special friend, Delaney. He has some mental disabilities but tries hard to do what he can with what he has been given. I have a close-up of Delaney’s face in the series of shots I took but thought the effect was so much better when you see him swinging.

Just perfect. No matter his challenges, he took a moment to have fun and be a kid. We all should do that some times.
i love it. he looks so happy! and that’s exactly how i feel when i swing, so i completely understand his joy!
Brilliant a really unguarded shot
Now, THAT is pure joy!!
I love it! Yes, you can see the joy in his face. Perfect!
Great shot- wouldn’t it be great if all of us could find such joy in the simple things-
Thanks for sharing.
that is a great picture! you can see how much fun he is having
A good reminder for me to jump on the swing with the kids this summer when we’re at the park. He looks so happy and full of joy!
