Back in April the calves needed to be branded, ear marked, and vaccinated. I wasn’t able to take many pictures because Special Dark is deathly afraid of cows. Every time they bellar he jumps. He was shaking the whole time we were there. Poor little guy! I did get some roping action but I like this one of SH gathering his rope back up after roping a calf.

Poor little SD is afriad of cows? How ironic, poor guy.
Your picture is marvelous, as always.
oh nothing like a man on a horse
Nice photo. I don’t know how you have time to blog if you own livestock! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!
What a perfect shot for sepia!
Great shot. Works well in sepia.
First time on your blog, and it took me a second to figure out who Special Dark was. I knew it wasn’t the horse (even though in the picture he is dark … special dark maybe?) because there is no way a cutting horse is afraid of cows. At least they better not be!
I figured it out, cute names for everyone. Guess I’m a bit slow, that’s all.
Oh yes, one more thing. We just finished FHE and now I see you have a fabulous link and lessons! Ha ha, you are helping me; I will be back. Thanks.
Sepia is the BEST with horses.
Both of your entries are really nice!
Just a gorgeous portrait — perfect.
You are such a great photographer! We miss you in our ward.
