One of my all-time favorite cartoon/musical movies is Prince of Egypt. I love it for the music: breathtaking voices, phenomenal instrumentation, soul stirring lyrics.
We’ve been playing this song, “Through Heaven’s Eyes” several times each day this past week. The lesson it teaches to “look at your life through heaven’s eyes” is powerful. We are all God’s children! He knows us, knows our hearts, our desires, our potential. It is sung by Broadway star Brian Stokes Mitchell. He performed with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for their Christmas concert in 2008 and this song was part of the performance. Take a listen! It’ll bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart.
Bon Bon and Semisweet are waiting for me to order the sheet music for “When You Believe.” I so like the tight harmony it has in spots.
Music really does have the power to touch our souls. What other inspiring music do you enjoy listening to?
