The quilts we were making for the girls the end of last year were finished just in time for Christmas. Many thanks to our good friend who quilted them for us AND did the binding on four of the quilts. They never would have been done in time otherwise.
Bon Bon and Fudge share the argyle room. Bon Bon’s quilt was made from an Eva Layer Cake.
Fudge decided on the Hushabye Layer Cake for her quilt. It is perfect for her! The colors are dainty, cheerful, and the prints are full of hidden animals just right for my animal lover.
Truffle and Cookie share the polka dot room.
Their quilts were made with fabrics from Good Folks, Garden Party, Darla, and Midwest Modern 2.
Cookie had to have a pink backing. Truffle lives for lime green. These are the two quilts I did the binding on.
Here’s a close up of some of the stitching detail on the back of Cookie’s quilt. My friend had fun stitching flowers, spiderwebs, hearts, swirls, etc. She also stitched each girls’ name on their own quilts. It was so fun to look at each one and see what creative stitches she used.
And finally Semisweet and Brownie share the green strip and tone on tone room (scroll down). Their quilt fabrics came from the Park Lane line from RJR Fabrics. (It’s been discontinued.)
Aren’t they gorgeous?
The girls LOVE their quilts. I hope they will wear them out through much use.
