We are currently purging and cleaning, and cleaning and purging EVERY SINGLE ROOM IN THE HOUSE. We are taking the week off from school (see our schedule). The kids were actually very excited to get started. I’ll probably post before and after photos later (like you really want to see them) but it’ll be nice to document our work. In the mean time here are some candid shots of my day on Monday.
Cookie reading while I finish cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast.
Watching the hay trucks weigh at the scale. This is a common occurrence. See all the smudges on the window?
The lucky one today. Does anyone else fight their kids to lick the beater?
Cookies bake better on a much loved, well used pan, don’t you think?
Finding love notes on the table from Cookie.
The spelling is what makes it so endearing!
Never ending…..
Sharing a Popsicle – though they aren’t supposed to be eating in the living room!
You’ll notice there aren’t any big kids in the pictures. The older girls were raking most of the day, still trying to get our fourth and final crop of the season up. If you ever wonder what goes on at our house, check out my other blog for a daily synopsis in one photo – if I remember to update it. 😀

I love your day in the life of posts. It is so nice to see that no matter where you live, or what you do, (or how many kids you have) basics are always the same! 🙂

I’m so jealous. Life is boring without children. I miss the laundry and fingerprints and love notes and hugs.

Ha! I know, my kids “aren’t supposed” to be eating in our living room either! But it’s so cute when they are sharing the treats…that they sneak! And then I have to catch myself and say “Hey, take that back in the kitchen…oh and you aren’t supposed to have that at all!!” 🙂 Kids! 🙂

I’ve never ordered anything online in my life nor won anything!! so I really dont know!

Hi! Did you make those darling pants the baby has on? Are they from the Big But Baby Pants pattern on the made website? I just wanted to say I love the material 🙂 My baby doesn’t wear cloth diapers, so I made hers in her size but with the back panel part one size smaller, and they fit great. Anyway, I just saw yours and am motivated to try some bolder fabrics 🙂
