Sometimes I get stuck. I can’t think of what to write or share on this blog. You wouldn’t think that now that I have reached over 1,000 posts! But I do. I decided to try and get back into a schedule of sorts. And wouldn’t you know as soon as I wrote out the schedule, ideas for posts started fighting to be heard in my head.
I thought it would be beneficial to write out the schedule here. Now you’ll know what days (if any!) you’d be interested in visiting throughout the week. And please, if you have questions about any of these areas leave a comment! I can always use more ideas. ☺
Sunday: Sabbath Reflections – A peak at what I’ve been pondering, reading, or studying pertaining to my faith. It might be something I gained from a lesson at church, or an article I read, or a devotional address I’ve listened too. It might also include thoughts from my personal scripture study.
Monday: Miscellaneous – Whatever I decide to write about that doesn’t fit anywhere else!
Tuesday: Homemaking – It is viewed by some as a drudgery. It is not! I’ve received several e-mails from readers asking if I would address how I teach homemaking to my daughters, not just doing it but wanting to do it. This topic is so broad it will cover a variety of things from sewing, to decorating, to cleaning, to table setting. Pretty much anything to do with running a home!
Wednesday: Wordfull Wednesdays – We’ll be starting this back up in one week! This Wednesday I’ll announce the topic for next Wednesday.And explain what it is for those who have no idea what I’m talking about. ☺
Thursday: Simple Pleasures – Sharing those things that bring us simple pleasures every day. This’ll be a link up post so be thinking of those things that bring YOU simple pleasures too! Write a post about it and come link up. I’ll be hosting a giveaway this coming Thursday to help celebrate the over 1,000 post milestone!
Friday: Homeschool – Dedicated to this major part of our lives, I’ll spotlight parts of our curriculum, ideas for science experiments, music studies, art, share snippets of something that happened during the week, etc. I’ll also start chronicling our journey into the world of homeschooling high schoolers. We are learning a lot and want to share what we are doing. And looking for any recommendations for those who have gone down this road before. {{hint, hint}}
Saturday: Whatcha Got Cookin’ – I’ll be posting a recipe once a week again. We’ve got some really good ones lined up!

I’m excited! I liked when you did a theme a day a while back! I could use some tips in each one of those areas! 🙂 By the way, I loved your post on burnout at Latter-day Homeschooling!

I really enjoy your blog and the topics you have coming up sound great! I will definitely be sticking around!
P.S. I am a mom of 5 and have been thinking about homeschooling for a long time. It is such a life-changing decision that I’m really struggling with it, but it’s on my mind a lot. I’d love to see you write about making that decision- maybe pro’s and con’s, how to deal with what other people think, etc.

I am looking forward to WW again! I love to write but always need a bit of a jump start.
I always enjoy your posts.
And you pictures remind me of home. I always love to see outside, since it is similar to what my extended family is looking at as well!

Sounds good to me! About homemaking – it’s not just a girl skill. Not that I am all “equality and women’s rights”, but I see the value in teaching my boys to handle laundry, set the table correctly, and prep meals. You might remember that my husband’s the better cook!!! About Whatcha Got Cookin’ – yippee. I am needing a really good pastry dough recipe. I need to make cinnamon rolls that aren’t bread-ish and crusty. About Homeschool – hooray….I keep thinking it might be an answer for a certain 9 year old….
