Just in time for any holiday festivities you may have on your calendar at this special time of year, Shabby Apple, an online boutique of women’s dresses, is giving away this sleek Baciami dress to one of my readers!
Several things I like about this dress – the elbow length sleeves, the stripe detail on the bottom, and the boat neckline. Nice and modest. The colors are also great for this time of year too! I love me some red.
Other dresses that have caught my eye are ones from some of their new lines.
The color blocked brown and aquamarine of the Sidesaddle Dress from their Side Saddle Line is adorable.
And this accordion pleated Quechua dress form the Inca Trail line can be worn cinched at the waist or free flowing. Love the rich deep blue color.

I follow on GFC
my favorite part of the holidays? I really just enjoy the added emphasis on family time, focusing on Christ, and a greater focus on serving others.
I don’t want to be part of the contest, but I have an honest question for you or anyone else. How do you manage to stay modest in skirts/dresses that length with kids around?!!! I find I have to wear at the very least mid-calf length dresses to keep everything from showing while kids are climbing all over my lap and Sunbeams are flapping my skirts around. All those dresses look so cute, but I’m always disappointed that they don’t sell anything longer besides one or two maxi dresses. How do you all manage? I fear I wouldn’t even be able to sit down without it creeping up too high.
i liked SA on FB and became a follower, and left a comment. For some reason, the auto tally won’t let me add what I’ve done…

Christmas Eve = Clam Chowder, Ham, and Hot Rolls. It’s been a tradition for 30+ years. I tried to change it up once and my family threw a fit! 🙂 I guess we’ll stick with the tried and true. — And of course, the annual Nativity, acted out by the youngest among us.

After kicking off the season with the First Presidency Christmas Devotional Special from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I always look forward to celebrating the Christmas season with a daily advent devotional. This is the one I’m using this year http://ldsholisticliving.com/blog/free-lds-perpetual-christmas-advent, which was obviously begun before the devotional. I would surely like to celebrate the actual day in a nice new red dress. 8)
Love to carol, can’t sing except to harmonize with LARGE crowd, but love to go caroling!!!

The holiday festivity that I am most looking forward to this year is making scrapple (a traditional Norwegian) dish that my Mom & I make together every Christmas morning after we all open presents together. We only have scrapple for breakfast on Christmas morning, so it makes it a special treat. I also ♥ all the tradition behind it b/c my Grandma used to make it for my Dad when he was a kid on Christmas morning.
I always look forward to the Christmas parties and Christmas sunday. I just love Christmas:)
Thank you for this giveaway! 🙂

One of my favorite traditions is to tell the Christmas Story the first Monday after Thanksgiving and set up the nativity as we do it. I love sharing the reason for Christmas with my kids, and then I love having them play with the little people nativity all season long.
