We learn from the past. We gain insights and understanding when looking at past experiences others have had and apply the lessons learned to our own circumstances. Did you know there are many resources for learning about the history and women of Relief Society?
Daughters in My Kingdom – free to download as a pdf file, or read it online here. It is full of teachings, stories, and examples from women around the world.
Nauvoo Relief Society Minute Book– see photos of the pages and read what took place at the first meetings of Relief Society.
History Timeline of Relief Society – a quick overview of events in Relief Society history.
Women’s Exponent – newspaper published by Relief Society from 1872-1914. Fascinating reading on not only spiritual topic but practical housekeeping tips for that time period.
Representative Women of Deseret – click on the photos of women in the poster to be taken to biography of their lives.
The Relief Society Magazine – published from 1914 – 1970
Relief Society Episodes on the Mormon Channel – The Q&A episodes are my particular favorite as Sister Julie B. Beck answers questions from Relief Society sisters around the world. There are also episodes to help with each month’s visiting teaching message and about Daughters in my Kingdom {linked above}
Relief Society General Presidents – links to biographies of all 15 amazing general presidents in Relief Society history.

Thanks for the links – made a new folder in my bookmarks to explore later. Fascinating and inspiring content. Just listened to the new Q & A with Sister Beck last night about charity. Highly recommend it to anyone.
