Bon Bon is now officially a college student! We miss having her around, hearing her play the piano, eating her fabulous meals but growing up is a part of life. She’s having a great time, has adjusted well with a bit of homesickness but not nearly as bad as we thought she would have so that is a blessing! Her roommates are great which also makes a huge difference. I can’t believe how quickly Bon Bon has grown! Sure love that girl!

YAY that is so exciting. College is the BESTEST!
Pretty exciting! And pretty weird, too, huh. 🙂
Totally weird. I can’t be that old already! But at the same time I am so excited for her and the new adventures and experiences she will have.
Your first little chick to leave the nest. Can you believe it? Good luck to everyone! I can’t fathom what that will be like. My oldest is six. 🙂
That’s where I went, and where my friend is going right now. 🙂
Ah, the BYU-I. I have so many fond memories there. But not for the wind in the winter. Hope she has so many fun times and gets involved in the many great activities. I wish I had been more involved.
A lot of people have given her that same advice to get more involved in the activities. So far she is and is doing great!
So wonderful and exciting!!!
I have three siblings (two with spouses now) who are enjoying the BYU-I. Such a great place with a wholesome atmosphere. I hope she blossoms even more!
My oldest and his wife are students there and my missionary son hopes to go in Jan. when he gets home. I am very impressed with the school and I love the town. I’m just sorry it’s so far from home.
Best of luck to Bon Bon and best wishes to you all in adjusting to your new normal.
What a bittersweet event! May her college years be joyful and enriching!!
Congratulations to Bon Bon! College will allow her to grow in ways she never imagined and give her the means to become more independent and spiritual! Hope she can stand the Idaho winters, I was accepted there, but decided to attend BYU instead, still cold but not as bad!
Funny, she was accepted to BYU as well but chose to go to BYU-I because of the smaller campus. Our winters can be pretty cold here so hopefully she won’t have too much trouble getting used to it.
I attended BYU-I and graduated a few years ago. I’m so glad she’s attending, she’ll love it! Rexburg is such a special place.
oh…I know the mixed emotions! Missing her so much – but having so much fun sharing in her growth and learning! Been feeling that about 8 months now… 😉 She will love it…
I loved every second of “Ricks”. It is a special school, one that your Bon Bon will have many memories of. 🙂
What a wonderful/scary/exciting time for your whole family!
