December is always filled with fun family traditions.
In between the snow and hot cocoa are days filled learning about Christ and His birth, gingerbread house decorating, and family trips.
The kids were pretty proud of their “Little Town of Bethlehem.”
Henry decided to eat the candy and use the wrappers on his house.
Since Ira turned 12 in November we took the kids to the Reno Temple. The younger ones and I walked around and played in the snow while Joseph, Debbie, Laura, and Ira went in to perform baptisms. Only Ira got to though because the baptistry started flooding while they were in there! The girls said as they were sitting on the bench they could hear water gurgling. Then they could see it coming up out of the drain on the floor leading to the girls changing room. Pretty soon the water was spreading onto the carpet. Yikes!
After the temple we took the kids to Scheel’s to look at all the animal displays and to ride the ferris wheel.
For Christmas dresses this year our theme was “Starry, Starry, Night” with all the blues and blacks. The girls’ vintage inspired dresses all came from Amazon.
And, we can’t forget to show off the Christmas pjs! New pajamas for everyone on Christmas Eve.
